Approach

A consulting practice built like good engineering

Predictable, documented, and honest about tradeoffs. Here's what working together actually looks like — and the principles every engagement runs on.

The engagement, end to end

  1. 01

    Discovery

A complimentary 30-minute call. You describe the situation; you get an honest read on fit and a recommended engagement shape.

  2. 02

    Alignment

Your consultation request captures the problem, the goal, and the constraints. I review it personally — approvals typically land within one business day.

  3. 03

    The session

Booked on a live calendar with a card on file and a preparation guide, so the hour is spent on your problem — not on logistics.

  4. 04

    The follow-through

A written summary within one business day. If ongoing help makes sense, we agree on the model: one-off, weekly, retainer, or project.

Working principles

Advice you'd give your own company

Recommendations are made as if your budget were mine and your deadline were mine. If the right answer is “don't build this,” that's the answer you'll get — even when building it would bill more hours.

Nothing billable without your approval

Work starts when you approve it in writing — never before. Anything expected to take more than a few hours gets an estimate first, and exceeding an estimate requires your sign-off before another minute is billed.

Everything in writing

Paid sessions end with a written summary: the situation, the recommendation, and the concrete next steps. Decisions shouldn't live in one person's memory — especially not your consultant's.

You own the work

Code, documentation, architecture notes, roadmaps — everything created for you is yours. Handoffs are part of the service, not a ransom negotiation.

Confidentiality by default

Your product strategy, code, metrics, and investor materials are treated as confidential — contractually, and as a matter of professional habit. Client names are never used in marketing without written approval.

Senior judgment, honestly bounded

Technical strategy, architecture, and engineering are in scope. Legal, tax, securities, and investment advice are not — and you'll be told plainly when a question needs a different professional.

Scheduling & cancellation policy

Booking. Once a request is approved, you schedule directly on the live calendar. A card on file confirms every booking; free sessions are never charged.

Rescheduling. Life happens. Move or cancel any session free of charge up to 6 hours before the start time, right from your dashboard.

Late changes. Cancellations inside the 6-hour window (and no-shows) incur a late fee — that hour was reserved for you. The exact fee is always shown before you confirm.
